1 crore people are getting Digital Govt. Services every month: Palak
In the last 14 years, the use of technology in education, agriculture, commerce, administrative and judicial activities has made it possible to deliver services to the doorsteps of people easily within a short period of time. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak has commented that the benefits of Digital Bangladesh are now available to 17 crore people of the country.
He made this comment by joining the function organized by Singra Upazila Chhatra League on the occasion of the foundation anniversary of Bangladesh Chhatra League on Wednesday. He urged the students to build green, clean, safe and smart campuses in every educational institution.
While speaking as the Chief Guest, the State Minister said that Mr. Sajeeb Wazed Joy Bhai has created a solid foundation to build a smart citizen in the construction of Smart Bangladesh declared by the People's Leader of 2041, Sheikh Hasina. One crore people are getting digital government services at their doorstep every month from 8800 Union Digital Centers, Municipal Digital Centers and City Corporation Digital Centers across the country with fiber optical cables up to the Union. Millions of people of the country are receiving the services of police fire service from 999. By calling at 333 from any part of the country to get any government services, it has been possible to secretly deliver food to the families of unemployed, poor and helpless people during the Corona period using digital technology.
We have 190,000 educational institutions in Bangladesh where about 50 million students are studying. I want to develop as a real soldier of Bangabandhu's ideals and to make each and every student a golden person to build the golden Bengal of Bangabandhu's dream. And Bangladesh Chhatra League has to take the responsibility of making every student of Bangabandhu's dream of golden Bengal a golden man. On the one hand, our attire should be smart, on the other hand, our mind should also be smart- adds Palak.
Calling on the 75th anniversary of the founding of Chhatra League to take an oath to build campus free of drugs and evictions, he also said that the smart Bangladesh of 2041 should be led by the challenge of forming smart leadership to defeat the evil forces of drugs, corruption and militancy.
